What is Nursing?

There are several variation of the definition of the term "Nursing".

The Princeton.Edu define nursing as "the work of caring for the sick or injured or infirm". Nursing can also be "the profession of a nurse". However it doesn't end up there. Nursing can be also defined as "nourishing at the breast".

The Wikipedia.Org define Nursing as "a profession focused on assisting individuals, families, and communities in attaining, maintaining, and recovering optimal health and functioning". And just like how Princeton.Edu define it, Wikipedia has also this definition of the term nursing: "The profession of caring for patients as a nurse; In the state of suckling young, lactating; Referring to nurses"

Another definitions of it are:

- Provision of services by or under the direction of a nurse to patients requiring assistance in recovering or maintaining their physical or mental.
- A caring profession whose major focus is the facilitation of optimal health in clients.
